What changed, and what deliberately did not

The navigation structure is untouched: same top nav, same items in the same order, same dropdowns, same left side navs, same footer bar. Only the visual language moved to Frost. Every canvas below the chrome is the original screenshot, cropped at the pixel where the old chrome ended.

Frost translation

  1. One gradient, on the bar. Frost puts the product's single signature gradient (Roster Flow) on the rail. This shell has no rail, so the top bar carries it — still the only gradient on the page. The rail's cloud watermark does not come along: the artwork is tall (410×953) and authored for a rail foot, so a 56px strip can only ever show a cut-off slice of it.
  2. Selected item = solid ClassLink-blue pill with a white 600 label. Rollover = translucent white veil. These are the approved rail row states, laid horizontally.
  3. Brand lockup is the Frost two-line stack: "Roster Server" over "ClassLink", 36px glyph.
  4. Identity uses the Frost account button in the same top-right spot the account icon occupied: terracotta initials mark, the signed-in person's name, and their role. The tenant is not repeated there — it is already the footer's second field. The menu holds Launchpad, Sign out and the light/dark toggle.
  5. Alert count is a warning-surface chip: glyph + number. Frost never leaves a meaning-bearing glyph bare on the gradient, and never uses red for "warning".
  6. Left side navs stay 300px wide (so the canvas is pixel-for-pixel) but go neutral with a hairline; rows use the same selected/hover states as the rail. "Field Access" uses the approved second-level treatment: no container, tree rule, dot + bold label.
  7. Breadcrumb + title keep their place; type moves to the Frost ladder (12px trail, 20/600 title). The trailing chevron after the last crumb is gone — chevrons separate, they don't lead.
  8. Footer bar is the neutral Frost env footer: same six facts, same order. "0 Jobs" reads in ink with a green status dot — green is decorative in Frost, never text.

The third view: Frost Rail Nav

An alternative for the four pages that have a left nav. Instead of a neutral panel, the left nav becomes the real Roster Server rail: the signature gradient run vertically, the cloud watermark at its foot, a translucent white veil on rollover, a solid blue pill when selected, and the collapse plus hover-peek behaviour the rest of the suite uses. Collapse it with the toggle, then hover or tab into it to peek it open; the flipped toggle reappears so you can pin it.

The top bar goes neutral in this view. Frost allows one gradient per page, so it moves to the rail rather than appearing twice. That is also why the bar treatment control is disabled here.

The rail sits in the 300px band the source screenshots leave for it, so collapsing it widens the canvas instead of moving it. In a real build the content would take that width back. The three screens with no left nav look the same as Frost apart from the neutral bar.

Inferred, please check

  • Dropdown contents (Apps, Preview, Logs, Reports, Settings) were taken from the Roster Server protoapp's routes, not from screenshots.
  • The signed-in person is Frost's shared mock persona, David Lassiter, District Administrator. Synthetic, not a real user.
  • Dark mode shows the chrome only — the canvas is the original light screenshot.

Preview › Users is a roster table. Everything about the capture says demo data, but this is a public link and the identifier columns have not been formally cleared, so they are pixelated here. Nothing else was altered and the layout is untouched. The repository keeps the clean capture; rebuilding with --no-mask restores it.
